下列哪些細胞或組織在發育過程中會有細胞自戕(apoptosis)的現象??

(A)海星的腕

(B)胎兒的手指

→因為人類的手掌，原是一片，手指之間的細胞必須自我凋亡才能造出手指。

(C)蝌蚪的尾部

→蝌蚪的尾部細胞在變成無尾目型態時，也必須自我凋亡。

(D)鳥類的紅血球

(E)人類的淋巴細胞

→因為人類的白血球有一定的壽命，大限到了當然自我凋亡。

(紅血球由脾中的白血球處理，不是自我凋亡。)

但是(A)選項的海星又怎麼解釋?

他五個腕之間的細胞也會自戕吧.....

→不是的!細胞凋亡是自已把自已殺了!海星是"再生"，細胞不會把自已分解掉。
