（中央社記者何宏儒新德里2014年1月8日專電）不滿美國逮捕外交官，印度的報復措施陸續祭出。最新做法是印度外交部照會美方須關閉使館內俱樂部、停止一切商業活動。
「今日郵報」（Mail Today）今天報導，美國大使館內販售的免稅酒和低價泊來品廣受西方外交官歡迎。印度外交部最近向美方發出兩份外交照會，要求16日前關閉美國大使館內的俱樂部「美國社區支持協會」（American Community Support Association），並停售免稅酒。
報導說，美國社區支持協會內有餐廳、游泳池、足球場、網球場、健身房、保齡球場、禮品店、DVD出租店、美容院，提供駐印美國官員和民眾使用。但7類會員也包括非外交官和其他國家外交官，他們都可購買免稅商品，有些具會員資格的商人乾脆從這兒批貨轉售營利。
新德里的決定無疑是印度外交官德維雅妮．柯布拉加德（Devyani Khobragade）在美被捕事件的後續效應。但有官員解釋，此舉其實也是矯正美方的異常做法。他們說，印度外交官在美國從未享受類似待遇。
印方已向美方表明，若曼哈頓聯邦檢察官巴拉拉（Preet Bharara）繼續緊追德維雅妮．柯布拉加德的案子，雙邊關係將會極度緊張。如此一來，反而又讓本案更複雜。
中央貨物稅暨關稅局（Central Board of Exciseand Customs）已被要求對美國使館可能違反稅法展開調查。就連新德里的美國中心（American Centre）和多個類似功能的機構，也將因未經核准放映電影，而遭新聞與廣播部調查。
另外，兩國在1973年達成非正式協議，印度同意美國學校16名員工免稅。但上述協議顯遭濫用，因為美國學校所有員工後來全未繳稅，國稅局將對這部分採取行動。
