莫羅藍在台灣娶妻生子後，雖然把台灣當作第2個家，但不時還是會思念家鄉。

虔誠信仰基督教的他，每周會與台籍妻子馮秋英到高雄市區的「基督教復臨安息日會」作禮拜，藉由與同鄉人的交談，他得知不少在楠梓加工出口區工作的同鄉人，為了尋求心靈慰藉，再累也從北高雄搭車到市區教堂作禮拜。

他為了照顧在加工區上班的同鄉人，5年前自告奮勇，請同鄉人到他家相聚禱告，菲籍人得知後都開心的說「YA」。

「是上帝幫助我成就一切」，莫羅藍說，他幫助了來台辛苦工作的同鄉人、上帝也幫助了他，他的冰淇淋代理進口生意起步沒多久，生意就蒸蒸日上，最後不但經濟狀況好轉，還有餘力可以在加工區附近的惠豐街上設立國際教會。

教會成立後，隨著菲籍人士的口耳相傳，目前每周六會聚集許多人到這裡作禮拜，他們除了用英文溝通、還會輪流煮菲律賓風味的佳餚，偶爾還會說家鄉話他加祿語，大家聚在一塊總是笑開懷。

「來這裡我很放鬆」，菲籍的伊登說，她來台灣工作3個月，一開始人生地不熟，想到家人經常掉淚，所幸透過同鄉人的介紹來到這處教會後，不孤單了。
