聖誕樹也走環保風。西班牙藝術家蒐集了3千個廢棄塑膠袋，在英國打造了9公尺高的聖誕樹，提醒民眾過度消費有害環境，也讓民眾省思在佳節期間是否有過度消費的傾向。今年聖誕節，世界各地都陸續推出不同的聖誕樹，亞洲最高聖誕樹由積木組成，南美洲的聖誕樹則高達85公尺，而且還是全世界第一顆海上聖誕樹。

西班牙藝術家Luzinterruptus 為了今年英國德倫市的燈節活動，設計了一棵9公尺高的彩色聖誕樹，整棵都是以廢棄塑膠袋製成。這些塑膠袋都是向民眾募集而來，一共蒐集了4千多個，設計者希望這棵「塑膠袋聖誕樹」能提醒民眾塑膠袋濫用的後果，會讓環境遭到破壞，同時也提醒民眾，每逢佳節時大肆採購是否符合真正的需求，或是無形中造成浪費而不自知。

今年亞洲最高的聖誕樹在馬來西亞，是由樂高積木組成。高度9公尺的樂高聖誕樹一共使用了40萬片積木拼成，相當壯觀。在歐洲，自從柏林圍牆倒塌後，北歐的挪威為了向德國民眾致意，同時象徵和平，每年都會致贈一顆聖誕樹給柏林市政府，今年這棵和平聖誕樹安放在布蘭登堡門前供民眾參觀。

巴西里約熱內盧則出現了全球第一棵海上「漂浮」聖誕樹，這棵巨無霸聖誕樹高度超過85公尺，重達540噸，開幕的點燈儀式一共吸引了10萬人爭相目睹。

不過，聖誕節過後，便是環保人員最頭痛的時刻，因為西方國家民眾為了過節氣氛通常會購買聖誕樹回家裝飾，過節後又將之丟棄。根據美國紐約市去年統計，聖誕節過後總共回收了超過14萬顆聖誕樹，被丟棄的樹木最後只能回收，並淪為各地公園其他植物的肥料。

「感謝台灣」，來台換肝的瓜地馬拉男嬰海德，在母親捐肝下，撿回一命，29日將離台，母子倆今天返回高雄長庚醫院致謝。

今年10月，當時僅7個月大的海德（SantiagoHaider）因罹患先天性膽道閉瑣症並出現肝硬化，危及性命，在瓜國總統培瑞茲（Otto PerezMolina）牽線下，經駐外單位協助，跨海在高雄長庚，以母親捐的肝進行肝臟移植手術，手術歷時11小時37分完成，住院25天後出院，術後回診追蹤，復原狀況良好，29日將隨父母返國。

海德及父母在翻譯人員陪同，今天返回高雄長庚，向為海德操刀的院長陳肇隆致謝，陳肇隆也致贈海德一家伴手禮，祝他們一路順風。

陳肇隆指出，海德體重僅6.1公斤，被移植肝臟僅需60公克即可，但他母親捐贈的左外側葉第2節及第3節共重360公克，為免植入肝臟壓迫海德其他內臟，手術時，先分解母親的左外側肝葉切掉其中第3小節，剩下第2小節肝臟重約200公克植入海德體內。

他說，手術過程頗為費工，母子開刀的肝組織切面中的每條肝靜脈、肝動脈、膽管及門靜脈都需一一以人工結紮好，否則手術就會失敗。

陳肇隆表示，為海德成功完成這項「超減容積肝臟移植手術」，創下超減容積肝臟移植術世界首例，也為眾多膽道閉鎖症兒找到救命契機。

馬總統稍後也和到場獻唱的原聲童聲合唱團的原住民小朋友互動，小朋友們在總統到場時即高喊「總統哥哥好！」不過馬總統沒有聽到；頒獎結束後，馬總統為這群布農族原住民小朋友導覽，並和他們玩有獎問答，答對的小朋友獲贈總統府立體紀念郵褶，其中一位原住民小朋友接下總統贈送的禮物後，馬上說「謝謝總統哥哥」，讓年過60的馬總統當場笑開懷，笑著對小朋友說「你叫我哥哥？謝謝你喔！」

在頒獎典禮致詞時，馬總統則細數每位得獎者事蹟，展現幽默感。他曾與劉民和反毒，一起到泰北金三角地區，有生以來第一次看到罌粟花田，割開罌粟的果實，流出乳白色的汁液，乾了之後，就是生鴉片。他說「當時我的身分是法務部長，不是毒梟。」總統此話一出，引來觀禮人士大笑。

這場比賽的首節，火箭台裔球星林書豪有效活絡火箭攻勢，除個人有4分、4助攻的表現外，有效的組織也帶動火箭轟下40分的高分。

帶著15分的領先，火箭次節開局讓替補球員上陣，馬刺乘機將比分追上，在半場結束時僅以51比60落後給火箭。
