CNBC 1日報導，仲量聯行(Jones Lang LaSalle)香港部區域主任兼國際住宅不動產部門主管Mei Wong表示，在東京主辦奧運、日本經濟有望回溫的帶動下，客戶對日本房地產的詢問度過去三個月來上升了15%左右。Lombard Street Research經濟學家Freya Beamish則指出，大陸民眾似乎考慮把日本作為下一個投資重點，現在正在試水溫；在大陸解除資金控管的情況下，陸客對日本房地產的投資熱潮有望升溫。
根據Land Institute of Japan的最新數據，今(2013)年7月份，東京大都會地區新蓋公寓的平均售價較去年同期跳增12.2%。雖然東京生活的費用在全世界是第三高，但房地產相對於香港仍顯得便宜。根據仲量聯行的數據，東京最貴豪華公寓「Parkhouse Gran Chidorigafuch」每平方英尺售價目前為22,000美元，但在香港類似的高級公寓「Argenta」每平方英尺售價卻高達30,000美元。
日圓貶值在提振日本出口活動的同時，也悄悄推升了當地高階房地產的價格。華爾街日報(WSJ)曾在5月13日報導，日本第4大房地產集團東急不動產(Tokyu Land Corp.)發言人Takumi Mochizuki上週對日本媒體「四國放送」表示，亞洲各地對日本高級不動產的投資活動自今(2013)年年初起便與日俱增，新加坡投資客的買進力道尤為強勁，而高價地段(例如設有許多國外金融機構總部的六本木)尤其受到歡迎。他當時說，日本房產在經過20年的衰退後，價位已較1991年的高峰低了80%。
