波音787夢幻客機、747-B巨無霸飛機引擎，在大雷雨區恐會結冰。

彭博社報導，美國聯邦航空總署（FAA）將下令航空公司，應避免讓採用奇異引擎的波音787夢幻客機、747-B巨無霸飛機飛近大雷雨區，因為有飛機曾遇到結冰情況。

FAA說，預定本周發出的指令是「暫時性行動」，目的是為了確保飛行時避免結冰情況，結冰可能降低飛機GEnx引擎推力。在FAA採取行動前，日本航空公司曾決定在某些亞洲航線上，不再使用波音787。

奇異公司說，穿越熱帶地區高空的噴射機，可能面臨強大暴風雨風險，暴風雨造成的結冰將降低引擎功能。
