倫敦人較鄉下人愛越野車

英國汽車協會說，最喜歡開越野車的英國人多半住在倫敦西南的「雀兒喜」區。這裡的居民詢問越野車的比例比住在鄉下地方，譬如，渥斯特夏、達比夏、沃瑞克廈都要高。

汽車協會說，倫敦市區大車位少、街道小、燃油污染附加費也比鄉下高，但是仍然有許多倫敦人喜歡開越野車。他們分析的結果是，越野車不怕路面坑洞、後面可以拖小遊艇或露營車，載的人多，視線也較好。再加上，在倫敦市區開越野車不用擔心被公車或計程車欺負，所以，還是有很多人買越野車。

汽車協會的「布魯斯」還透露，為了讓越野車看起來像是真的開過崎嶇不平，泥濘不堪的道路，市面上還買得到噴的泥巴印。
