南市砍樹客呼之欲出 監視器攝得可疑對象

台南市從九號凌晨起，陸續發現行道樹和公園老樹遭人以利器砍伐，引起民情激憤，警方組成專案小組追查砍樹狂人，從監視器中追查一名可疑對象，呼籲各界勇於指認，早日緝凶。不過從目前跡證顯示，犯案者可能不只一人，也有目擊者指稱在水萍塭公園疑似有另兩人涉案。

根據警方掌握到的監視影像發現，行凶者疑似騎自行車、手持小斧頭沿街砍樹，範圍集中在中西區一帶，包括五妃街的楓香綠隧，及大南門公園內的珍貴老樹都難以倖免；另有目擊者指稱有兩人一組，騎乘機車犯案，地點在水萍塭公園。

初估目前受傷的數量超過五百棵以上，市府譴責暴力行為，呼籲各界協助指認，網路上也有不少熱心市民透過臉書轉載，希望早日揪出砍樹公敵。
