HTC 手機的做工和系統運作流暢程度一定不會比 Samsung 差，但為什麼 Samsung 的 Galaxy 手機會賣得比較好呢？很多人都會歸咎於 HTC 的市場推廣沒有 Samsung 那麼好；就連 HTC 自己也承認市場推廣不好是他們的致命傷，但這個情況似乎快將改變了。Bloomberg 最先傳出 HTC 聘請了 Samsung 的前市場推廣部總管 Paul Golden，而 The Verge 則找來了 HTC 的發言人確實真有其事。

根據 Golden 的 LinkedIn 資料指出，他「為 Samsung 創造和推出了高度成功 Galaxy 品牌」，在 Golden 在 2008 年至 2012 年為 Samsung 效力期間，Galaxy 系列手機的市佔率由 4.5% 升至 21%。有指他在受聘之後將會擔當王雪紅的顧問。最後，Bloomberg 透露王雪紅在今月初的一次訪問中，指出他們認為公司要做的就是跟客戶有更多溝，這樣他們便能做得更好。
