蘭陽技術學院附近山邊生態豐富，經常吸引鳥類駐足，最近師生們發現黑冠麻鷺在校園築巢，還生了2隻小寶寶，模樣相當可愛。黑冠麻鷺的成鳥擔心小幼鳥遭其他禽類捕食，總圍繞在小黑冠麻鷺身旁，守護他們的安全，親子之情展露無遺。
