本屆世足巴西隊最亮眼的新星內馬爾，15歲就展露頭角，當時月薪只有18萬台幣，憑著過人球技7年身價翻倍漲，如今22歲的他已經是坐擁上億年薪的少年富豪，足球是唯一一個巴西人共同支持的事物，政府也願意砸錢投資，國球名聲響亮，每年更吸引不少優秀教練加入，巴西人曾說不會足球不懂足球的人，不可能當上巴西總統，足球儼然成為巴西文化的主流，這也是巴西足球強盛的原因。

不管你是不是球迷，提到足球一定會想到巴西。巴西足球隊享譽全球，每年都有不少優秀教練加入，加上政府願意投資，一般家庭的小孩更將踢足球視為翻身籌碼。巴西人對足球有高的認同感，而這些都是巴西足球能夠歷久不衰的原因。

你沒看錯，這是把球踢上三樓，經過牆壁反彈，踢進手扶梯上的球籃，穿高跟鞋也能秀上一段，坐輪椅的老阿公更深藏不露，這支速食業者為世足拍攝的廣告，雖然部分橋段誇張，卻也呈現出巴西人足下武功高強的形象，年紀不過才小學大，巴西兒童就練就一身好功夫，對巴西人來說踢球跟呼吸一樣自然，不管是鐵罐、紙團有甚麼踢甚麼，不只是為了好玩，足球更是這些貧民窟小孩翻身的機會。
