史泰博回應競爭 將關140家店

（中央社台北2014年8月20日電）彭博報導，全球最大辦公用品連鎖店史泰博公司（Staples Inc. US-SPLS）今年將收掉大約140家分店，這是前陣子宣布的關店計畫一部分，以回應線上對手的競爭。

本會計年度第2季，史泰博關閉北美80家店。史泰博今天發出聲明稿表示，2日止3個月淨利下滑20%至8200萬美元，或每股13美分，用於關閉據點的費用為1.01億美元。

亞馬遜公司（Amazon.com Inc. US-AMZN）等網路對手的擴張，在這項零售產業掀起組織重整風潮，包括歐迪辦公公司（Office Depot Inc. US-ODP）與OfficeMax (OMX) 的合併。史泰博3月勾勒直到明年收掉北美多達225家分店的計劃，等同於北美地區的12%店面，並減少高達5億美元的成本。

剔除部分項目，史泰博第2季獲利為每股12美分，與彭博調查17名分析師的預估均值相同。

第2季營收下降1.8%至52.2億美元，優於分析師預期的51.7億美元。史泰博說，之前關店與匯率效應是營收降低的部分因素。（譯者：中央社徐崇哲）
