美國自來水出現食腦蟲　居民心慌慌

（優活健康網記者陳承璋／綜合報導）真有所謂的食腦蟲？近日，美國出現一種會啃食人類腦部的變形蟲，且竟然在人們使用的自來水裡被發現，讓當地民眾為之驚恐，如果不慎讓此變形蟲從鼻腔進入，將會蔓延到腦部，並且破壞大腦組織，致死率幾乎達百分之百！

一百三十例感染案例　僅三人存活

過去，就有一名九歲女童，在湖邊玩水，被此種變形蟲，從鼻腔入侵腦部，光短短一周就宣告死亡，而此次，名為「福氏耐格里變形蟲」，就出現在美國路易斯安那州里瑟夫鎮、加里威爾鎮和芒特艾里鎮的飲用水裡，雖此蟲只能從鼻腔破壞腦部，但也讓著實讓當地居民心慌慌。

目前美國衛生當局指出，將會立即清潔供應此三鎮的供水系統，並加強氯氣消毒以保飲用水的安全，而在過去五十年間，共有一百三十例，遭變形蟲啃食腦部的案例，其中，只有三人存活，難怪會引起那麼大的恐慌。
