南韓菸價擬大漲八成

南韓衛生部長表示，擬於元旦將香菸售價大幅提高八成，以遏止民眾吸菸。如果實施，南韓菸價將從2,500韓元 (2.42美元)暴增為4,500韓元，估計可使香菸消耗量下降34%。

南韓男性吸菸率高達44%。提高菸價預料可增加2.8兆韓元稅收。
