小麥歉收 義大利麵價格恐變貴

最近大宗商品價格節節下滑，但義大利麵主原料杜蘭小麥（durum）價格卻因歉收而逆勢上揚，連帶使義大利麵價格蠢蠢欲動。

美國餐飲協會主席馬隆尼23日指出，過去八周來，杜蘭小麥現貨價格已上揚38%，主因是2014年預估產量可能比去年下滑2%，而且創2002年來最低。農業部預測，明年美國的杜蘭小麥供應將降至空前新低，這將導致未來幾個月市場更吃緊。

超市已反映這些狀況。勞工部的統計顯示，8月義大利麵價格平均每磅為1.375美元，比去年同期上漲6.1%，也比前月上揚3.9%。馬隆尼警告，消費者最好做好心理準備，因為未來一、兩年義大利麵售價可能劇烈波動。
