警察捍衛長髮權 法院判：不准

台灣有警察為了無法留長髮而指控警政部門侵害人權。類似的訴訟在美國也發生過，官司一直打到最高法院。不過最高法院最後判決，警政部門有權禁止員警留長髮。
這件案子的名稱是《凱利控告強森》（Kelley vs. Johnson），是美國憲政發展頗受重視的一段，發生在紐約州的塞福克（Suffolk）郡，起因是一位警察凱利不滿當地警局訂定的頭髮及鬍鬚規定。該郡規定：「男性警察的頭髮應整齊、清潔、修剪合宜；兩側及後面應不觸及耳朵或衣領，前面應不超過正確戴帽時的帽緣。如有醫療需求另當別論。」
最高法院最後判決指出，警察執行職務，警政部門「必須考量整體紀律、團隊精神、以及整齊畫一」；各地的警政部門訂頒的規定都是為了達到這樣的要求，以有效履行維繫治安等任務。
最高法院在1976年宣判，後來的相關研究指出，這項決判提出了至為重要的觀念，即「合理與否」。凱利認為頭髮長度、髮型是個人喜好，屬言論自由的一部分，受到憲法保障。但最高法院審理認為，警察從事的工作與公共利益息息相關，警政部門在合理範圍內，對容貌、服飾有所規定，使民眾易於辨識，「符合公共利益所需，並無違憲之處」。
加拿大人口密集的卑詩省曾經做過民調，同意男警留髮至衣領的只有15%，甚至56%主張女警頭髮亦不能長至衣領。至於警察能否任意染髮，能否在看得到的部位刺青，能否掛鼻環等等，支持度僅百分之一、二。

過不了2013！ 基隆黃色小鴨爆掉了

基隆黃色小鴨今天午後爆掉，只留一片鴨皮。
