燒亡妻金紙 老翁跌水溝身亡

新竹市70歲劉姓老翁，前晚為剛過世妻子做「五七之日」，燒完金元寶後，依民俗將灰燼帶至大排水溝「放水流」，疑因天雨路溼滑不慎掉落大排，家人找了一整夜，直到消防員在排水溝內打撈到冰冷遺體，家屬們放聲大哭。

死者兒子說，前晚七點多，父親拿著燒紙錢桶子往距離住家約二百公尺一處大排水溝走去後，遲遲不見父親返家，深夜十一點多報案，直到凌晨零點四十分，消防員在大排水溝內找到劉姓老翁遺體，救出時已無生命跡象，家屬們頓時隔著鐵絲網嚎啕大哭，不斷喊著「救救我爸爸」，場面哀戚。

檢方相驗後，查無他殺之虞。鄰居表示，劉姓老翁的妻子一個多月前因腎病過世，夫妻感情不錯，沒想到相隔不久，老翁也走了，讓人不勝唏噓。

殯葬業者賴承漢說，傳統習俗中，燒給亡者的銀紙灰燼不可以丟垃圾桶，要放水流，好讓「銀錢變白錢、白錢變黃金」，希望錢財順水流，讓亡者帶走，也換成人世間的錢財給子孫。
