暗夜槍聲，即將入獄男子被查獲改造獵槍

新竹縣尖石鄉山區廿日深夜傳槍響，轄區警方聽到槍聲，趕至現場搜尋，發現到開槍的吳姓男子躲在草叢間，否認持槍，經員警在附近搜尋，找到一把改造獵槍，被依違反槍砲彈藥條例移送法辦。

吳某辯稱槍是打飛鼠用的。警方發現，三十歲吳嫌在前年十一月因誤把人當山豬，開槍射死對方，被依過失致死罪嫌移送，將在廿二日入獄。吳某在入獄前又被查獲改造槍械，警方正在追查是否涉有其他案件。
