時至 2014，Samsung 和 Apple 間的專利大戰仍在繼續。這一次，Apple 聲稱南韓巨頭侵犯了其包括輕擊搜尋、滑動解鎖在內的 5 項專利，索賠金額達到了 20 億美元。而 Samsung 這邊想出的應對方法，就是拉來創造了 Android 的 Google 助陣，希望其提供的證據能夠一次性證明 Android 系統開發的獨立性，不再與這兩年交戰無數的 iOS 扯上更多關係。

回首這兩年，和其它一些巨頭相比 Google 在專利這方面遇上的麻煩還不算太多。但這次 Apple 要求 Samsung 為每台侵權裝置支付 US$40，比以往任何一次都多，也難怪後者要搬救兵了。除此之外，Samsung 也聲稱 Apple 的 iPhone 和 iPad 用到了自己的兩項專利，接下來自然又免不了一番你來我往。總之，路還很長呢...
