停火倒數…以巴再延24小時

以色列與巴勒斯坦談判代表在18日午夜，為時5天的停火協議即將結束的倒數幾分鐘之前，敲定再延長停火24小時。以巴爭取更多時間，期望談出一個長期性的停火協議。

埃及政府的調停者不斷勸告以色列與巴勒斯坦，把加薩走廊延續幾周的流血衝突作個了結。到目前為止，以色列有67人死於衝突，巴勒斯坦則有2000多人。

以色列政府官員說，「回應埃及的提議，我國同意延長停火24小時，以便繼續協商」，爭取能延續更多時間的停火協議。巴勒斯坦代表團亦同意。

以巴協商聚焦在埃及所提的提案，其中達成巴勒斯坦的一部份要求，比如說緩解以色列8年來對加薩的封鎖。然而其他棘手議題，之前都沒討論。

巴勒斯坦代表團團長阿瑪德向記者表示，「我們必須把握未來24小時的每一分鐘，直到達成協議為止，否則循環的暴力將延續」。

巴勒斯坦方一名高級成員先前堅稱，雙方在能延續更久的停火協議已有「進展」，因為兩邊都展現了「相當大的彈性」。他補充說，「雙方代表現在正與領導階層磋商」。
