南韓冬奧「扼腕」項目獨占鼇頭

下屆 (2018年)冬奧的主辦國南韓，在甫閉幕的俄羅斯索契冬奧會中雖只贏得8面獎牌 (含金、銀、銅牌)，低於預估，但在「扼腕 (進入決賽卻未得牌)」項目的排名卻獨占鼇頭，高達20項；其中第4名 (俗稱鋅牌)7 項，第5名 (稱錫牌)5 項，第6名 (稱鉛牌)8 項；南韓在這些項目中雖未能得牌，但能進入決賽也凸顯出南韓選手的實力。第二位是加拿大16項，美國15項，不過加、美兩國分別贏得28及25面獎牌。
