田中狀況好 本季至少打1場

田中將大在台灣時間7日在牛棚練投34球，狀況顯還不錯，田中將大有信心在洋基球季結束前，能夠至少再回到球場投1場，而再投1場也是洋基對田中肘傷測試計畫步驟，如果恢復程度能回大聯盟先發就回，如果回不了，就安排在指導聯盟投1場，最重要是觀察田中是否必須在季後接受韌帶移植手術(Tommy John)。

田中也同意洋基隊這個想法，本季必須要再投1場，才清楚自己的手肘狀況到底如何，設法以自己最好的程度盡量去投，當做自己在比賽中以百分之百全力表現；8月28日田中進行模擬賽投球，但隔天手肘就出現酸痛感覺，於是洋基也暫停幾天接下來的復健課表，到今天才再重新開始牛棚練投。

洋基接下來還沒有決定田中的下一個檢驗，應該是投模擬賽或是餵球練投，洋基總教練吉拉迪表示，一定要藉由1場實戰比賽，才能真正掌握田中手肘疼痛真正情形，才能決定是否要用動手術，才能清楚解決這個問題。

田中將大自7月8日之後就沒有再上場投球，當時洋基希望田中還能有機會趕在九月可能為洋基爭取季後賽效力，不過洋基也很明白可能性很低，現在只是想證明田中是否確定要動手術，才能提早為明年先發輪值布局。
