日本媒體界重量級人物、日本電視台會長氏家齊一郎，由於非常喜歡高畑勲導演的《隔壁的山田君》，因此出資力挺高畑勲的最新電影《輝耀姬物語》，唯一條件竟是，請高畑勲導演將完成的作品，送他作為過世的禮物。

當時大家只以為是玩笑一則，但沒想到，高畑勲導演在資金無虞的狀況下，慢工出細活，居然花了8年、50億日幣，才在2013年11月創作出《輝耀姬物語》，並獲得2013年「日本影評人協會大賞」最佳動畫片及最佳動畫導演等三項大獎。

只可惜，氏家齊一郎先生卻早在兩年前（2011年初）過世，享年85歲，無緣親眼看到《輝耀姬物語》上映，令這部作品，真的成為送給氏家齊一郎逝世的禮物。

對於氏家齊一郎這位伯樂，高畑勲導演感激在心，因此吉卜力工作室，特地將氏家齊一郎的名字，放在《輝耀姬物語》電影海報的演職員表最前面，以表達對這位長期盟友的感謝。
