胡志強：台灣前途由台灣人決定

民進黨台中市議員陳淑華等人今總質詢，針對台灣前途誰來決定？台中市長胡志強今天說，台灣前途當然由台灣兩千四百萬人決定，台中市將申辦東亞青年運動會，任何政治化運動活動的企圖，我絕對不會讓步，寧可不要辦，也不能接受中華民國主權、台灣尊嚴被侵犯。
